The Get Down Coffee Co.
Brand Design

The Get Down Coffee Co. transcends the traditional coffee shop experience; it's a vibrant celebration of Black culture and community. Founded by Houston White, a passionate visionary, and Dan Anderson, the innovative mind behind Dogwood Coffee, this unique venture began with a simple yet powerful conversation over coffee in 2015.

Houston's dream was to introduce specialty coffee to Camdentown, North Minneapolis—a neighborhood that had long been overlooked and underfunded. His personal journey revealed a stark truth: most coffee companies were culturally irrelevant and lacked diversity. Recognizing a shared belief, Dan saw the role he could play in broadening access to exceptional coffee experiences.

Their collaboration resulted in The Get Down—a brand that not only offers expertly roasted coffee but also creates a warm, inviting space for everyone. The brand has gained remarkable traction, expanding its reach to major retailers like Target and Amazon, making premium coffee accessible to a wider audience.
